Latest paintings (some still in progress)

A little background: This summer I was lucky enough to stumble upon a large stack of vintage (1968) teaching cards for elementary schools. These cards depict different occupations, activities, and locations. I have been painting on top of these images with acrylics using vintage children's book illustrations and movie/t.v. characters as inspiration. I think you can tell that it's pretty fun coming up with subject matter to flatter the already existing backgrounds.

Many more to come, as there are about 50 images in total and I aim to alter each and every one in some way! Thanks for looking!
